Shipping
When a customer places an order for a Sea-Fire extinguishing systems, customer will usually receive an estimate of 5-7 days lead time before product is shipped. Once order is shipped, customer should receive system within 5-7 days (depending on location). Overnight, second-day and third-day shipping is available upon request for an additional charge.
Sea-Fire typically uses UPS or FedEx, depending on the weight of the shipment (no more than 70 lbs. for HAZMAT and no more than 150 lbs for non-HAZMAT).
Shipping charges are calculated into the total amount paid by the customer. Customer has the option of requesting a preferred shipping company. Tracking numbers for all shipments are provided (please provide email address when placing order).
Many options are available for Lighter than Truck Load (LTL) carriers for pallet shipments – Domestic and Canada ONLY. Please call Sea-Fire shipping department for further information.
For large international shipments we offer Ocean Container Shipments in two sizes – 20’ container (holds 5-10 pallets) or 40’ container (holds 15-20 pallets).
Sea-Fire can ship worldwide depending on countries’ acceptance of HAZMAT materials.
Warranty & Shipping:
A warranty return requires the customer to contact Sea-Fire’s Customer Service department to ensure product is under warranty and warranty claim is valid. To expedite this process, when contacting Customer Service please have ready the make and model number of the extinguisher being returned. Make and model can be found on the front label of the cylinder. Sea-Fire will not accept any returns unless authorized by the Customer Service department.
Sea-Fire’s Customer Exchange Program offers 50% off of the list prices. Sea-Fire will provide the customer with a Prepaid Returns Packet (PRP), which is only offered through FedEx Ground. Customer should use PRP to return old fire extinguishers. Packet includes “How To” instructions for packing extinguisher, HAZMAT labels, box, materials safety data sheet (MSDS) paperwork and packing materials. Customer is responsible for shipping and handling fees.
If bottle is empty, a PRP packet is not issued. Customer will only need to pack cylinder in box provided by Sea-Fire which will include packing material.
Customers
returning bottles without using Sea-Fire’s Customer Exchange Program
are responsible for all shipping & handling fees.
